Applications are invited for the Kittur Rani Chennamma Award, given to individuals and voluntary organisations that have made exemplary contributions to women’s development for the year 2024-25. Applicants and organisations must have a minimum of five years of service in the field of women’s development.
The Kittur Rani Chennamma Award for 2025-26 will recognise women who have made outstanding achievements in women’s development, sports, education, art, and literature.
Women who have shown exceptional bravery and courage-specifically in saving lives or protecting public property between January 1, 2025, and December 31, 2025-may apply for the “VeeraMahile” Award.In evaluating applications for the Kittur Rani Chennamma Award, the committee will assess the quality and impact of the programmes undertaken by applicants in women’s development as well as in other fields such as sports, art, literature and education. Salaried employees are not eligible for this award. The committee’s decision regarding the scrutiny and selection of applications is final. The award ceremony will be held either on International Women’s Day or on another date designated by the government.
Application forms can be obtained from the office of the Deputy Director, Women and Child Development Department, Near Chain Gate, Mysore Road, Madikeri. Completed applications along with necessary documents must be submitted to the office by February 3.
