Celebrating the Colours and Culture of Karnataka

Kannada Rajyotsava was celebrated with immense enthusiasm and pride at Coorg Public School (COPS) on 1st November, 2025. The day marked a vibrant tribute to our state’s glorious heritage and the pride of being Kannadigas.

The celebration began with the lighting of the lamp, symbolizing knowledge and unity, followed by the soulful rendition of the State Anthem “Jaya Bharata Jananiya Tanujate”.

Students and teachers presented a colourful cultural programme that showcased the rich culture and heritage of Karnataka.

Saathvik Somanna spoke about the significance of the day, reminding everyone of the courage, unity and cultural brilliance that define Karnataka.

The Principal, Dr. M. Ramachandran, in his inspiring address urged to preserve the land’s cultural and literary heritage for the generations to come.

The highlight of the day was the release of the book ‘Muktaka Maala’  authored by Jayalakshmi M. B., teacher in the Department of Kannada, showcasing her literary excellence and dedication to Kannada Literature.

The celebration concluded with the singing of the National Anthem. The day truly reflected the spirit of Kannada pride, unity, and cultural devotion among all.
