Speaking on the occasion, G.P. He recalled the bravery of the police who have defended the nation’s borders and contributed significantly to internal security.

“Law and order and a peaceful environment are vital for the nation’s progress and development. In that regard, the performance of the police in safeguarding internal security is commendable,” he said.
He added that just as the Indian Army, Air Force, and Navy protect the country’s external and internal borders, the sacrifices of police personnel who ensure internal security must also be remembered and honoured. He emphasised the need to support and encourage the families of police martyrs.
