With the motto “Sundara Virajpet. SwachaVirajpet,” the Virajpet Municipality has launched an official Facebook account titled “Clean Virajpet” to promote cleanliness and take action against public littering.
The account was formally inaugurated by Honorable MLA AjjikuttiraPonnanna for public use.
Citizens can download a scanner or link on their mobile devices, take photographs of littering incidents, and post them to the account. The MLA assured that immediate action will be taken based on public posts and appealed to residents to support the municipality in maintaining a clean town.
Municipal President Dechamma Kalappa, members Mateen S. H., Rajesh Padmanabha, Mohammed Rafi, Municipal Chief Officer Nachappa, Environmental Engineers Ritu Singh and Komal, along with party workers and local leaders, were present at the launch.
