Students of Coorg Public School took part in a special virtual interactive session titled “Igniting Minds, Exploring Frontiers: The Convergence of Space, Education, and Industry” with Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla, a distinguished test pilot of the Indian Air Force and one of ISRO’s selected Gaganyatris, on 10 October, 2025. The session was organised by the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE), New Delhi.
The interaction was highly informative and inspiring for both students and teachers. Group Captain Shukla shared insights from his life’s journey and his experiences as part of India’s ambitious Gaganyaan mission.
Students raised interesting questions on topics such as sustaining in zero gravity, plant growth in space, optimal use of resources, applying AI in space technology, and experiments like germinating methi seeds in space.
The session offered valuable knowledge about space science, sustainability, and the integration of AI with space exploration – truly an enlightening and motivating experience for all participants.
