Health Minister Dinesh Gundurao and Chief Minister’s Legal Advisor and Virajpet constituency MLA A.S. Ponnanna inspected the site of the community hospital proposed to be built in Hudikeri of Ponnampet taluk recently. Later, the minister and the MLA discussed with the officials. The MLA requested the minister to provide necessary information and facilitate the early construction of the hospital.
Minister Dinesh Gundurao also informed that the Virajpet Public Hospital is being upgraded to a district hospital, Hudikeri Primary Health Centre to a community health centre and Kushalnagar Community Health Centre to a taluk hospital.
Speaking to reporters after visiting Virajpet Public Hospital and Hudikeri Primary Health Centre, the minister said that Virajpet Public Hospital should be upgraded during the budget this time. Similarly, it was intended to upgrade Ponnampet and Kushalnagar Community Health Centres to taluk hospitals. The minister said that Kushalnagar Community Health Centre will be upgraded to a taluk hospital.
