The Kodagu District Congress Committee (KDCC) held discussions with Kodagu District In-charge Minister N. S. Bhosaraju, Chief Minister’s Legal Advisor, Virajpet MLA A. S. Ponnanna and Madikeri MLA Dr. Mantar Gowda in Madikeri regarding the C and D land issue, which has become a matter of serious conflict in the district.
KDCC Vice President K. M. Lokesh raised the issue on behalf of farmers, highlighting the difficulties they face due to the C and D land problem. He appealed to the In-charge Minister and MLAs to intervene immediately and take steps to resolve the issue and to ease the concerns of farmers. Responding to the appeal, the Minister stated that a committee would be formed to find a solution. He further said that the Chief Minister would meet the KDCC and leaders in Bengaluru to discuss the matter. MLA Dr. Mantar Gowda assured that the issue would also be raised in the Legislative Assembly.

Present at the meeting were KDCC President Dharmaja Uthappa, former Legislative Council Member Veena Achaiah, Madikeri Block Congress President Hansa, Congress leaders K. P. Chandrakala, Somwarpet Taluk Akram Sakram Samiti member J. L. Janardhan, Congress leaders T. P. Ramesh, Kolyad Girish, Natesh Gowda, Khalid and Madikeri Taluk Guarantee Implementation Committee President Mohan.
