The Sri Omkareshwara Temple Management Committee has undertaken paddy cultivation in the field in front of the Omkareshwara Temple Kalyani to provide the ears of rice required for the upcoming Huttari festival.
The plantation was carried out in the presence of Temple Management Committee Chairman Chummidevaiah, Kodagu District Janapada Parishad President B.G. Ananthashayan, Kodava Samaj President M.P. Muthappa, Kodagu Gowda Vidya Samaj President Ambekal Naveen, Temple Management President Prakash Acharya, Ambekal Kushalappa, Kannanda Kavita, Temple Executive Officer Devaraj, and S.P. Vasudevar, who brought the saplings to the temple. Municipal Council members Kalachanda Appanna and Sada Muddappa, Kodava Samaj Vice President Viju Devaiah, Joint Secretary Nandineravanda Dinesh,Revathi Ramesh, Sampath Kumar, temple priests, staff, and members of the public also participated.
Chummi Devaiah welcomed the gathering, while Ananthashayan delivered the inaugural address. The Executive Officer of the temple proposed the vote of thanks.
