Sip your Tea
Nice and Slow,
No one Ever knows
when it’s Time to Go,
There’ll be no Time
to enjoy the Glow,
So sip your Tea
Nice and Slow…
Life is too Short but
feels pretty Long,
There’s too Much to do , so much going Wrong,
And Most of the Time You Struggle to be Strong,
Before it’s too Late
and it’s time to Go,
Sip your Tea
Nice and Slow
Some Friends stay,
others Go away,
Loved ones are Cherished, but not all will Stay,
Kids will Grow up
and Fly away,
There’s really no Saying how Things will Go,
So sip your Tea
Nice and Slow
In the End it’s really
all about Understanding Love,
For this World
and in the Stars above,
Appreciate and Value who truly Cares,
Smile and Breathe
and let your Worries go,
So, Just Sip your Tea
Nice and Slow

Coincidences are not just coincidences. Just now, as I was “sipping nice and slow” a special Chinese tea brought to me last week by a Singaporean friend, I happened to open your message and read the poem by the Singapore poet Lee. What a surprise.! Beautiful metaphor! So, let’s continue to sip tea nice and slow!!!
👏👏👏.. very nicely written
What a beautiful and heartwarming piece! The words flow like a gentle breeze and truly live in the moment.
The imagery of ” sipping tea nice and slow ” is so simple, yet so profound – it wraps the reader in warmth while quietly urging them to cherish its fleeting joys. The poet has captured the bittersweet truth of change and impermanence with such grace.

This poem is a gentle reminder to slow down and enjoy life’s small moments. The repeated phrase, “sip your tea nice and slow,” encourages us to appreciate what we have before it’s gone. It touches on life’s ups and downs, the people who come and go, and the importance of love and gratitude. A beautiful, calming reflection on how to live with more mindfulness.
I have realised one thing that it is difficult to be simple. It takes lots of preparation to be simple and less materialistic. There are so many beautiful things in the world and we want to have it all. By the time we get one there is something else that is alluring and we leave what’s in hand and go after what is out there. End of the day we don’t enjoy what’s in hand and we don’t stop chasing.
