The traditional ‘Polinkana Utsav’, offering bagina to Mother Cauvery, was observed with devotion at Triveni Sangam in Bhagamandala.

Special pujas were performed for Mahaganapati, Mahavishnu, Subramanya, and Bhagandeshwara deities at Sri Bhagandeshwara Temple. Lamps were lit in the Sumangali Mantapa, created by Baledindini A, where ritual offerings such as turmeric, kumkum, karimani, thali, bangles, saree, and silver plates were placed.

Processions circled the temple before devotees reached the confluence of Kaveri, Sujyoti, and Kannike rivers, where the banana-leaf mantapa was ceremonially immersed.

This centuries-old ritual, celebrated annually on the new moon day of Bhima month, draws hundreds of devotees praying for prosperity and good rains.

Temple headmen Kodi Motaiah (Talakaveri) and Balladka Appaji (Sri Bhagandeshwara Temple), priests Harish Bhat and Ravikumar, and local villagers took part.
