A contract worker identified as Kavadi Manju, employed in the Nagarahole Tiger Reserve, sustained serious burn injuries recently. As he is engaged on a contractual basis, the Forest Department is unable to cover his medical expenses, prompting an appeal for support.
Responding to the request, members of the Coorg Wildlife Society (CWS) stepped forward to assist. Several members, including those from the executive committee, generously contributed towards Manju’s treatment.
A cheque of ₹50,000 was formally handed over to Kavadi Manju by CWS President Mr. Bose Madappa, accompanied by executive members Mr. Naveen Bopaiah and Mr. Adip Bopaiah.
The Coorg Wildlife Society has long been known for its commitment to wildlife conservation and support for forest frontline workers. This gesture reinforces the society’s ongoing efforts to assist those working tirelessly to protect Kodagu’s forests and wildlife.
