Compensation Provided to Rain Victims

A.S. Ponnanna, MLA of the Virajpet constituency and Chief Minister’s legal advisor, recently visited the home of P.C. Vishnu Belliappa in Badaga-Banangala village, Ammatihobli, to offer condolences for a rain-related death.

Tahsildar Ananth Shankar stated that a compensation of Rs 5 lakh had already been paid through online, in line with government guidelines.

In a separate instance, the MLA handed over a compensation order of Rs 5 lakh to the family of Gauri from Arji village. Gauri tragically died when a tree fell on her during last week’s heavy rains and storms. Tahsildar Shankar was also present.
