Disaster management related mock demonstration

A mock drill was conducted recently at Harangi Reservoir focusing on rescue operations in the event of a disaster to protect people, livestock, and property. Over 200 staff from departments such as Revenue, Police, Health, Fire Services, Home Guards, and Large Irrigation participated.

Deputy Commissioner Venkat Raja highlighted the importance of inter-departmental coordination and adherence to government SOPs during such events. District SP K. Ramarajan stressed the need for rescue personnel to ensure their safety while assisting others during disasters.

The drill was attended by several officials including Madikeri DySP Suraj, Tahsildars Kiran Gouraiah and Krishnamurthy, Disaster Management Expert Ananya Vasudev, Fire Officer Rajesh, Health Officer Dr. Indudhara, and Harangi Executive Engineer Puttaswamy.
