Varun Ganapathy emerges victorious

The 8th edition of CGL-NR Golf tournament  was successfully held  at Coorg Golf Links (CGL), Bittangala. Around 101 golfers participated in the tournament over two days .

Varun Ganapathy with a  score 76 gross was the open winner in Gross Strokeplay (0-14) beating  M G Chengappa with a score 77 gross.

The Chairman of the NR  group, Arjun  Ranga, address the gathering and distributed  the prizes to the winners. Captain of CGL  Bharath Madanna, thanked the Chairman of the NR group Arjun  Ranga for hoisting tournament for 8 years.

The other results of the tournament are as follows :

Gross Strokeplay (0-14) Over 18 Holes – Winner: Varun Ganapathy (76 gross)

Runner Up: M G Chengappa    (77 gross)

Handicap Strokeplay (0-18) Over 18 Holes Winner: Jeevan Belliappa (70 net)

Runner Up: Appanna K N (71 net)

Gross Stableford (0-18) Over 18 Holes – Winner: Ranjith K P  (29 points)

Runner Up: Dinesh Kumar   (27 points)

Handicap Stableford (0-18) Over 18 Holes – Winner: Bopanna A N (38 points)

Runner Up: M G Bopanna       (34 points)

Handicap Stableford (19-24) Over 18 Holes – Winner: Maj Nanjappa              (35 points)

Runner Up:   Bharath Mandanna   (34 Points)

Senior Citizen Stableford (0-24) Over 18 Hole Above 65 Years-Winner: AVM Nanjappa (34 points)

Runner Up: Col M M Aiyanna  (31 points)

Ladies Handicap Stableford (0-24) Over 18 Holes – Winner: Madhushree Srinivas (32 points)

Longest Drive – Winner: Dinesh Kumar

Closest to Pin – Winner: Priya Kushalappa
