MDGC wins the Inter Club Tournament

Inter club golf tournament was recently held between Mercara Downs Golf Club (MDGC) and Pilikula Golf Club (PGC) at MDGC recently. 18 teams from each side contested hard over two days.

First day of the tournament was played on an alternative ball format. Second day was played on the individual and doubles match play format. MDGC won the tournament by six points.

The prize distribution ceremony was held at the club house of MDGC. Captain of the club I K Anil was present on the dais along Manoj Shetty, Captain of PGC, Gautam Padiwal, Tournament Committee Chairman of PGC and K P Ranjith, Tournament Committee Chairman of MDGC.

I K Anil welcomed the gathering and recalled the long association with PGC. Manoj Shetty spoke on the occasion and said that PGC was glad to be associated with MDGC.

Gautam Padiwal also spoke on the occasion. Manoj Shetty presented the winners trophy to I K Anil. K P Ranjith proposed the vote of thanks.
