Disrespect to brave soldiers of Nation… Protest held by Ex-Servicemen

A massive protest was held recently by All Karnataka Ex-Servicemen Association of Kodagu unit at Madikeri demanding strict legal action against the person who insulted the brave soldiers Field Marshal K M Cariappa and General K S Thimayya on social media.

The ex-servicemen of the district, representatives and members of Kodava Samajas gathered at Field Marshal K. M. Cariappa circle and started the protest by paying floral tributes to brave soldiers.

Speaking on the occasion District President of the Ex-Servicemen’s Association Kottukatthira Somanna in his introductory speech said that brave soldiers of India Field Marshal K M Cariappa and General K S Thimayya who are proud sons of India and someone has done insult to great soldiers on social media is an insult to all Indians and expressed his displeasure. He also demanded a strict legal action against the accused in the case of insulting veterans.

Speaking on the occasion President of Ponnampet Ex-Servicemen’s Association, Ainanda K. Mandanna, said that the insulting of F.M. K M Cariappa and General K S Thimayya has not only hurt the sentiments of ex-servicemen of the district but it has shocked the entire army of the country.

President of Karnataka Kodava Sahitya Academy, Mahesh Nachaiah, said that insulting of the proud sons of Kodagu, F.M. K M Cariappa and General K S Thimayya made everyone   in Kodagu angry and added that attempts are being made to create unrest in Kodagu. He demanded that the government should immediately arrest the accused in the case and take strict legal action.

President of the Kodava Samaja Federation Kallichanda Vishnu Kariappa said that the person who has forwarded derogatorymessage through social media should be permanently suspended from the Madikeri Bar Association and demanded that the police must take strict action against the accused.

Madikeri Kodava Samaj President M P. Muthappa, Kodagu District BJP President Napanda Ravi Kalappa, Codava National Council President N. U. Nachappa and others spoke and strongly condemned the case.

Cherambane Ex-Servicemen’s Association, Jaijawan Ex-Servicemen’s Trust of Sunticoppa, Kushalanagar,  F.M. K M Cariappa and General K S Thimmaiah forum,   Members of Kodava  Samajas Cherambane, Ponnampet, Murnadu, Somwarpet, Madikeri participated in the protest.

Karnataka Ex-Servicemen Association President Dr. Shivanna, Karnataka Ex-Servicemen Association Kodagu Unit Secretary C G Thimmaiah, Joint Secretary M K Nachappa, Convenor Natolanda Somaiah, F.M. K M Cariappa and General K S Thimmaiah forum president  Colonel Kandratha Subbaiah, Akhil Kodava Samaj President Paradanda Subramani, Maletira Abhimanyu Kumar, Bollajira Ayyappa, Hanchettira Manu Muddappa, Robin Devaiah, Praveen Siddapura, Suresh Muthappa, Sampath Kumar, Kukkera Ajith, Tambukuthira Madhu, KadyamadaMotaiah and others  participated in the  protest march.
