Kodagu Deputy Commissioner (DC) Dr Venkat Raja has directed to repair the roads under the jurisdiction of PWD, Panchayat Raj and Local Bodies which have been damaged due to heavy rain.

In an video conference with concerned officials DC informed that roads have been damaged due to continuous and more rains in the district and road repair work should be undertaken at the earliest and added that there should not be delay for any reasons.

The DC also informed that many houses were damaged due to heavy rains and houses should be constructed along with distribution of compensation and instructed the concerned officials to give a report on this matter.

In the national and state highways mud is falling from nearby hills due to scattered rains, so attention should be paid to this and DC further informed that there should not be any traffic disruption.

The DC clearly informed that all level of officers should properly handle their respective duties. Officials of various departments participated in the video conference.
