V Y Milan Kumar of Kodagu participated in the 17th INGKA National Open Karate Championship held at Srikrishna Gounder Mantapa, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu recently and won gold, silver and bronze medals.
He won first place in team Katha category and won gold, silver with second place in Katha category and third place in kumite category and won bronze medal.
VY Milan Kumar is the son of VR Yogesh Kumar and Rekha, a resident of Shastri Nagar, Madikeri, and is studying in class 10 at St. Michales School, Madikeri. Milan Kumar was trained under Virajpet karate teacher Sensai M B Chadran.
