Maletira Disha Ponnamma from Kedamullar in Kodagu district has been selected for the Karnataka Hockey to represent in second Hockey India South Zone Championship to be held in Kadapa, Andhra Pradesh from July 10 to 17.

Maletira Disha Ponnamma, who has participated in several national tournaments in the past, has been selected for the Karnataka Junior team. She is the daughter of Kedamulur Taluk Panchayat Member Maletira Prashant Uthappa and Murnadu Junior College lecture Maletira Rashmi Uthappa.
