Kodava Riders Club conducts 5th Annual Vanamahotsav at Hebbale

As part of the Kodava Riders Club 6th year anniversary, Vanamahotsava was held at Hebbale Devarapura recently. After offering poojaat Hebbale Devarapura Shree Bhadrakali and Ayyappa temple the tree planting program in Devarakadu started. A large number of students from various schools and colleges including members of the temple management committee, village chief and villagers participated planted trees. Various wild species and fruit trees were brought from Thithimati Forest Department and Ponnampet Forest Maha Vidyalaya were planted. It is special that the students, who finished planting more than one thousand plants in a few hours, were anxious to plant more and this year students not only from the district but also outside the district also participated in the Vanamahotsava. 

Kodava Riders Club along with staff of Thithimati Forest Department, students of Ponnampet Aranya Maha Vidyalaya, District Bonding Bloom team members, Yoga Tribe members, students of NSS unit here including Graduate and Pre-University students of Gonikoppa Cauvery College, Gonikoppa’s Lions Vidyasasthan, Coorg Public School (COPS). , Devarapura Rajeshwari Vidyasharyana, Ponnampet Sai Shankar Vidyasharyana, Phonics International Academy School of Mysore including Triveni School of Virajpet, Team of members of Travender Institute of Bangalore, Team of members of SY Photography of Mysore and Team of members of Unibix Snacks participated.

Before the programme Sannuwanda Vasanth Kushalappa village head, Chalak Chakkera Manu of the National Self Service Organization District Association, Nagarahole ACF Kambeyanda Gopal, Thitimati RFO H S Gangadhar, Ponnampet Aranya Maha Vidyalaya Assistant Professor ChamorriraNanaiah, Social Workers A. Shantu Chinnappa, Chakkera Bipin Achaiah and Kodava Riders Club President A. Prathvi Subbaiah spoke on the occasion.
