Leave with pay for Lok Sabha Elections on 26th April

The Election Commission of India has announced that April 26 is the polling day in Kodagu district for the Lok Sabha General Election 2024. On this day, the workers working in all estates, factories, shops, commercial establishments and other establishments across the district will be given holiday with pay to eligible voters, under People’s Representative Act, 1951. Section 135(b) and Karnataka Industrial Establishments (National and Festival Holidays) Act, 1963 Section 3(a) and Section 25 of the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881. The labor officer of Kodagu sub-division said that all the owners/organizations should grant leave and requested their staff to cast their votes.
