50 men and women participated on the opening day in the umpiring clinic, which is the first ever umpiring clinic in the Kodava Hockey festival. Muneer from FIH and Balaji from Hockey India were Chief Instructors who officially launched the session. Appachettolanda Aiyappa will also assist in the umpiring workshop.
Ramesh Muddaiah, President of Kundyolanda Hockey festival, Dinesh Cariappa, Convenor of Kundyolanda Hockey festival, Koopadira Ganapathy from Hockey Karnataka, Palanganda Lava Kumar President of Hockey Coorg and Anjaparavanda Kushalappa from Hockey Coorg, and the Directors from the Kodava Hockey Academy Kukkera Jaya Chinnappa, Cheppudira Kariappa, and Nerapanda Harsha Mandanna were also present on the occasion.
