Yaduveer files nomination for Mysuru-Kodagu LS seat

Yaduveer Wodeyar filed his nomination papers two days before the scheduled date on 1st April. He was accompanied by his mother Pramodadevi Wodeyar and some BJP leaders.

Speaking on the occasion Yaduveer informed that he will file another set of papers on April 3 with a grand road show. It is said that Yaduveer filed his papers on 1st April, believed to be an auspicious day as per the advice of palace priest’s.

Maharaja’ Yaduveer doesn’t even own house. He owns four kg of gold jewelry worth Rs 3.25 crore and 20kg of silver valued at Rs 14 lakh and his wife owns 2kg of gold, 100 grams of gold bullion and 10kg of silver worth Rs 1.02 crore. His son has gold worth Rs 12 lakh, gold bullion worth Rs 5.50 lakh, 10kg of silver worth Rs 7 lakh.

Yaduveer has movable assets worth Rs 4.99 crore while his wife owns movable assets worth Rs 1.04 crore. The 32-year-old scion of the royal family who holds a Bachelor of Arts (double major in Economics and English) from the University of Amherst, Massachusetts, and has a total income as Rs 28.42 lakh.  He has no agricultural land, residential or commercial buildings and non-agricultural land. He does not even have a house, car, or a bike in his name. In his 22-page election affidavit, the BJP candidate for Mysuru-Kodagu LS seat has revealed that he has only Rs 1 lakh cash in hand, while his wife has Rs 75,000. He has deposits and investments through shares in several companies and trusts and foundations, including Bherunda Foundation, Mahisuru Royal Heritage Hotels Palaces, Resorts and Spas Private Ltd., amounting to Rs 1.36 crore.
