Good news from central govt for Khelo India medal winners

Anurag Thakur, Union Sports Minister speaking to media recently has said that the medal winners of the Khelo India competition will be eligible for government jobs. Speaking further he said that as a result of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision, in order to further strengthen the sports environment, and to nurture young sports talents at the root level and thereby help them to make their living. 

In consultation with the Department of Personnel and Training, the Sports Ministry said that this revised order will be helpful for sports persons looking to get government jobs. According to Anurag Thakur, the medal winners of  Khelo India Games, Youth, University, Para and Winter Games will be eligible for government jobs due to this revised order.
