Diya Bheemaiah has been chosen to represent Karnataka at the South Zone Badminton Tournament, scheduled to be held in Telangana, from September 2, 2025.
At just 17, Diya has consistently excelled on the national stage. She is currently ranked State No. 2 in Under-19 Singles, Mixed Doubles, and Women’s Doubles, and holds the No. 8 position at the national level.
A student of Vidyashram College, Mysuru, Diya was earlier trained under coach Arun at Sports Park and is now receiving advanced coaching under the Badminton Association of India at Guwahati.
Her steady rise has brought pride to Mysuru’s sporting fraternity, and she is expected to make a strong mark in the forthcoming championship.
