The 33rd State-Level Mud Sports Meet will be held in Bhagamandala on August 23 in collaboration with the Kodagu District Youth Union, the Youth Empowerment and Sports Department, and various other organizations.
A preliminary meeting was held at the Sports Department office under the chairmanship of Vismayi V.T., Assistant Director of the Youth Empowerment and Sports Department, regarding the organization of the sports meet and various competitions.
The sports meet will begin at 9:00 a.m. at the field of Balladka Appaji and Anu in Bhagamandala village under the joint auspices of the Kodagu District Administration, Zilla Panchayat, Youth Empowerment and Sports Department, Virajpet Taluk Youth Union, Somwarpet Taluk Youth Union, and Ayyangeri Sri Krishna Yuvaka Sangha.
Events will include a tug-of-war for public men and women (teams of seven), volleyball for men (teams of four), and throwball for women (teams of six).

A mud run will be held at 1:00 p.m., featuring races for junior primary, senior primary school boys and girls, high school students, undergraduate and graduate college students, organizers, and an open race for public men and women.
Following the traditional puja in the evening, a closing ceremony and prize distribution will be held. Assistant Director of the Sports Department, Vismayi V.T., and President of the Kodagu District Youth Union, P.P. Sukumar, have appealed to athletes and sports enthusiasts to participate in large numbers.
Entry fees for the public tug-of-war will be Rs1,500 for men and Rs 1,000 for women. Public volleyball and throwball entry fees will be Rs 1,000 per team. Team names must be registered by 5:00 p.m. on August 22.
First, second, and third place winners in the sports events will receive attractive cash prizes, awards, and commendation letters.
