Senior doctor and writer Dr. K.B. Suryakumar from Madikeri has won the Best Book Award from the Kannada Medical Writers’ Committee for his work titled Mangali. Sponsored by Dr. Indira Doddaballapura, the award recognizes the book’s depiction of the lifestyle of the Mangalamukhi community. The award ceremony will be held on August 24 in Bellary. Dr. Suryakumar has published seven books in Kannada and one in English.
