My address as a Chief Guest on 04.05.2025 at 5 A SIDE Hockey tournament Inaugural Function organised by KODAVA STUDENTS ASSOCIATION, MYSORE in Chamundi Vihar Stadium
I opened my speech at the inaugural of 5A SIDE tournament by saying that we should not be doing lengthy speeches especially in GAMING EVENTS because the very purpose is defeated and both players and spectators are just there for the GAME AND NOT TO HEAR SPEECHES.
Also in the light of the fiasco of the recently concluded FINALS OF MUDDANDA FAMILY HOCKEY where before the game people spoke for nearly 4 hours keeping the enthusiasts of Hockey waiting for a 12 minute game before RAINS STOPPED PLAY.
But today I promise you all that I won’t speak for more than 5 minutes because it’s 5A SIDE GAME and everything should revolve around the number 5.
“I am happy to be inaugurating a thrilling five-a-side field hockey tournament! Today, we embrace the power of five — five players, five positions, five goals to aim for, five steps ahead in strategy.
The Kodava spirit is built on five generations of strength, five layers of tradition, five core values: courage, camaraderie, competition, culture, and commitment. With five fingers gripping the stick, five senses sharp on the field, five passes, five strikes, five saves, and five victorious moments, let’s make this a game to remember.
Because when five hearts beat as one, nothing can stop us. Let’s play with pride, passion, and the unstoppable power of five!”

Terrific message Mr Ganesh Aiyanna. Playing the Game should take precedence and priority over listening to politicians and their interminable speeches.
You always provide honest straightforward messages with clarity for peoples consideration – much appreciated.
Thanks for the nice words
Kudos to the Chief Guest – Ganesh Aiyanna for keeping it concise and impactful! Short yet inspiring speech that definitely got the message across without testing the audience patience.
Short talks with a clear message tend to hold the audience attention better. It also encourages the speaker to focus on the key points. I am sure this showed consideration for the audience schedule.
Your speech must have left a lasting impression. Lesson to our politicians who live to hear their own voices.
Thanks for the nice words mamtha. You are always generous with your appreciation
