Re-cultivate paddy fields program held

In association with Karnataka Kodava Sahitya Akademi, Connecting Kodavas Trust one of its ambitious programs to replant paddy fields which had been abandoned due to various problems for about 10-15 years was held recently in the paddy field belonging to Puttichanda and Patrapanda family members in Bollarimadu village of Virajpet taluk.

Kodava Samaja Youth Council Bangalore, Kodava Samaja Youth Wing Mysore, students of Pragathi School of Virajpet, Kodava Welfare Association Bangalore, Patrapanda and Puttichanda family, villagers of Bollarimadu village, Kodagu Agricultural Science Forum, Karnataka Tourism Department joined hands with Connecting Kodavas Trust.

Dr. Cheppudira Kushalappa, retired dean of Forestery College,Ponnampet and president of ASFK, Somengada Ganesh, a progressive farmer and ex-warrior who won the Karnataka Rajyotsava Award, District Tourism Officer Anita Bhaskar, Ajjinikanda Mahesh Nachaiah, president of Karnataka Kodava Sahitya Academy, and many others were present on the occasion. About 300-350 people participated and planted paddy in the “Nati Pani” program.
