Elephant found dead in a plantation

A male elephant said to be 30-35 years old was found dead on a plantation at Kalathmadu in Gonikoppa. The reason for its death is not yet to be ascertained.

Deputy Conservator of Forests Jagannath said the reason for the death will be known after a postmortem.
