It is reported that a youth fell ill after allegedly consuming “Red Bull” an energy drink in Madikeri and has been admitted to the district government hospital. The food safety official has warned people against consuming the drink.
It is further reported that the youth consumed the 250 ml drink bottle which was manufactured on February 6, 2023, and has a expiry date of February 6, 2025, with batch number 2122329.
The sample has been sent to the lab for testing. The vendors should not sell the bottles with the batch number and the people should not consume the same, said, Food Safety and Quality Officer Dr E Anil Dhawan stated a press release
