9th edition of Murugappa Centenary Open Golf Championship was recently held at Mercara Downs Golf Club, (MDGC).
Around 70 golfers participated in this premier event in the calendar of MDGC. Despite the rain scare the golfers keenly contested in the tournament played over two days.
B S Krishna won the coveted open strokeplay event played over two days with a gross score of 154. Paritosh Ganapathy was declared the runner up with a gross score of 155.

The prize distribution ceremony was held at the club house of MDGC. Captain of the club I K Anil was present on the dais along with Hon Secretary of the Club Harish Appanna and Tournament Committee Chairmain K P Ranjith.
I K Anil welcomed the gathering. Ranjith announced the names of the winners. I K Anil, Harish Appanna and C U Ashok gave away the prizes. Ranjith proposed the vote of thanks.
