Applications have been invited from dance troupes for the state-level Yuva Dasara dance competition to be held on October 18 as part of the Madikeri Dasara celebrations. Participants may present any dance form other than classical dance. There is no age limit, and each troupe must comprise between 12 and 30 performers.Performances must incorporate social themes and convey positive messages.
The language used in songs and costumes must be decent, while performances that hurt the sentiments or beliefs of any individual or community will not be permitted.Each troupe will be allotted 12 minutes, including 10 minutes for the performance and two minutes for stage set-up and transition.The use of props that could damage the stage, including fire, paint and water, is prohibited. Participants must abide by the judges’ decision and carrytheirAadhaar cards.Yuva Dasara Committee President Kavan Kottholi said all participating troupes must strictly follow the rules and regulations.
