The Brahmagiri Sahodaya CBSE Schools Cultural Competition-2026 was organised at the Sri B.K. Subbaiah Auditorium of Kodagu Vidyalaya. Bharatanatyam artiste and cultural ambassador Mukkatira Shilpa Nanjappa was the chief guest.
Twelve teams representing seven schools under the Brahmagiri Sahodaya CBSE Schools participated in the competition. Students showcased their talents in singing and dance categories.
Students from Ankur Public School, Napoklu; SMS School, Virajpet; K.V.G. School, Sulya; Saint Ann’s School, Siddapur; A.L.G. Crescent School, Madikeri; National Academy, Gonikoppa; and Kodagu Vidyalaya, Madikeri, participated enthusiastically.
The students’ captivating dance performances and melodious singing added to the charm of the programme.
Chief guest Mukkatira Shilpa Nanjappa encouraged the students and said, “Winning is not the only thing that matters in a competition. I have reached a high level only after experiencing a lot of defeats. If you work hard, you will definitely be rewarded for it”.
She encouraged students who did not win prizes not to be disappointed and to continue moving forward with consistent effort.
Ramyashree D.R. introduced the guests, Bindu welcomed the gathering, while Krupa Muddappa and Sharath compered the programme.
Soundarya and Rajeshwar introduced the judges for the competition.
Winners :In the dance category, Kodagu Vidyalaya secured first place, SMS School secured second place and K.V.G. School, Sulya, secured third place.
In the singing competition, K.V.G. School, Sullia, secured first place, SMS School secured second place and Kodagu Vidyalaya secured third place.
D.M. Megha Sujay and Poornima Vinay were the judges for the singing competition, while Sudha P.D., Pragati Kedana and Kaushik P.L. judged the dance competition.
