The Kodagu District JD(S) leaders and activists staged a protest in front of the office of the Kodagu Deputy Commissioner (DC) in Madikeri recently alleging that the SIT was not conducting an impartial investigation into Hassan’s pen drive case and demanding the removal of Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar from the cabinet.
Activists marched from Gandhi Maidan, Madikerito the office of the Deputy Commissioner and raised slogans against the state Congress government.
They also informed that for political reasons Former Prime Minister H.D. Deve Gowda and former CM H.D. Kumaraswamy are being simply targeted and added that a false case has been filed against MLA H D Revanna.
Speaking on the occasion JDS District Spokesperson Katnamane Vithal Gowda said that spreading obscene photos and videos of women is a legal offence and added that Congress leaders are behind this and they strongly condemn it.
A case of kidnapping for no reason was registered against H D Revanna and he was sent to jail. He questioned why an FIR was not registered against the person who leaked the video if the SIT team was investigating impartially. He also alleged that SIT is working under the state government and follow the instructions given by Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister, and he demanded that the case should be handed over to the CBI to get justice. He also demanded that D K Shivakumar should be dropped from the cabinet and the case against Revanna should be withdrawn.
