Rotary Misty Hills donated raincoats to traffic police personnel serving in Madikeri as part of its community service initiative.
The raincoats were distributed by Prakash Belavadi, Assistant Governor of Rotary District 3191, Bengaluru, during the installation ceremony of the newly elected office-bearers of Rotary Misty Hills.
A total of 10 raincoats were presented to the traffic police personnel to assist them in carrying out their duties during the monsoon season.
Speaking on the occasion, Rotary Misty Hills President P.R. Rajesh said that traffic police personnel perform their duties throughout the year despite adverse weather conditions, including heavy rain, strong winds and cold weather. He noted that the distribution of raincoats was one of the major service projects undertaken by Rotary District 3191 to support frontline personnel.
He further informed that Rotary Misty Hills plans to organise traffic awareness programmes at various locations in the coming days.
Among those present were Rotary Assistant Governor H.S. Vasanth Kumar, Zone Commander Ponnachchan Madhusudan, Assistant Commissioner Dr. G.D. Chethan, and S.M. Chethan, Director of the Misty Hills District Traffic Planning Committee.
