A guided bird walk is set to be organised in central Kodagu later this month, offering nature enthusiasts an opportunity to explore the region’s rich avian diversity.

The event is being organised by Wildlife Conservation Society – India in association with Rainmatter Foundation, and will be led by noted naturalist Pattada Bopanna.

Slated for March 29, 2026, the bird walk will be held from 7:00 am to 10:00 am in central Kodagu, covering the Virajpet–Siddapura region. Organisers said the exact location would be finalised based on the convenience of participants and their travel routes.

The event, which is open to all age groups and free of cost, saw a strong response from nature enthusiasts, with all available slots now filled.

The initiative aims to promote awareness about birdlife and conservation while encouraging community participation in outdoor learning activities.
