Heartfelt gratitude for the fantastic work you guys are doing 👏.

  2. Children’s sports in coorg require stronger encouragement at the basic level. Though facilities such as SACAA help rural youngsters, limited involvement from parents prevents many talented kids from being recognized. When young players make long journeys just to participate, it highlights how important motivation and backing are….

  3. Opportunities for children in Coorg sports are limited, especially in rural areas. While SACAA is trying its best to support rural talent, participation depends largely on parental support. When young kids are willing to travel long distances to play, it clearly shows that time and commitment can make a big difference.

  4. We appreciate CLN for promoting such events, which are truly the need of the hour in Coorg for young talents to explore, participate, and enjoy sports. However, we currently see more tournaments catering mainly to the busy working class.
Coorg is clearly lacking opportunities for children. It is important for parents to encourage kids to get involved in games at a young age. What is really required is a small dedication and commitment of just two hours from parents.
SACAA is the only academy set up in a rural area specifically for the benefit of rural children, yet the response from nearby villages has been very poor. The most common complaint is the lack of time to drop children for practice.
Ironically, there are four under-11 kids who travel nearly 110 km (both ways) from Kutta every weekend just to play. Their dedication speaks volumes.
