Christmas Celebrated at Kodagu Vidyalaya

Christmas was celebrated with enthusiasm, devotion and cultural splendour at Kodagu Vidyalaya School, Madikeri. The programme was organised by students of Class 5.

The celebration began with prayers, followed by candle lighting by Principal Sumitra K.S., Administrative Officer Ravi P., Coordinator Sumanth and teachers, conveying the message of Christmas. The children presented a captivating welcome dance, followed by freestyle dance performances under the guidance of choreographer Abhishek and his team.

Student Sudeepta spoke about the significance of Christmas, conveying that the birth of Jesus Christ symbolises love, peace and human values that should be embraced in daily life. A drama depicting the birth of Jesus was performed to highlight the essence of the festival. The programme concluded with melodious Christmas carols sung by students Amrutha and Pawan.
