AYUSH Medical Officer (Naturopathy and Yoga) Dr. Arun informed the meeting that a Yoga Awareness Jatha would be organised on June 16 at 8.30 a.m. to create awareness among the public about the benefits of yoga.

He said yoga teachers have been conducting yoga sessions for the public in villages and at taluk and district levels. In addition, yoga practice sessions have been made accessible to both the public and government officials through a 365-day online Google platform. The AYUSH Department, in collaboration with yoga instructors, is making sustained efforts to promote awareness and participation in yoga activities.

Dr. Arun further informed that yoga programmes have already been conducted in various schools across the district by yoga trainers attached to AYUSH Health and Wellness Centres.
