In Nature, trees get propagated in a random manner without naming the entity who propagated it. Makes one think!
How does it matter as to who funded the construction of the gate or the arch on the way to the temple; the names of the donors, or a road/monument/statue/stadium/city – why is it necessary to “name” them?
The fruit eaten by the bird
Seed carried far
The flower burst with wind
Seed carried far
The butterfly sat on one
Seed carried far
The crawling insect on another
Seed carried far
It doesn’t matter who kindled
The seed falls somewhere
When it does finally grow
It’s roots dig deep in the dark
The branches tall in the light
How does it matter who carried it far
It doesn’t allow that to become its scar
As long as you dig deep and grow tall
How does it matter, where you fall

A very DIVINELY beautiful message which made me think and act as per the Divine order and to keep my memory sharp and remembering the message contained in the following quotation of Swami Vivekananda which he had written to the then Maharaja of Mysore in 1893:
“They alone live, who live for others, the rest are more dead than alive”.
Has lot of depth
This poem beautifully captures how growth and impact don’t need credit or recognition.
The natural imagery of seeds spreading symbiotically and growing regardless of who carried them is powerful.
It’s a great reminder that what matters most is how we grow, not where we started or who helped us along the way.
Quietly profound and inspiring.
Beautifully written – each line carries so much meaning.
The river still flows, the tree still bears fruit. The sun doesn’t shine for fame, nor does the rain seek applause.
Nature does it’s task – silently, faithfully – unbothered by who claims the credit. Mountains don’t wear nameplates, yet they stand tall for centuries.
Let us learn from Nature – to do our part, to give, to heal without needing to be remembered. It’s the act that matters the most not the name.
Can’t we just leave the planet in a better way than when we found it?
Absolutely!! Resonate so much with this especially when our donors insist on our putting up signboards shouting out about their contribution and shouting even louder on social media
Very nice poem….makes you think
I love the poems which picks simple matter and make it deep.
Carrying the seed is something that happens all the time, everywhere, but little would one guess how does it matter.
