Killing of Wild boar…Two arrested

The Kodagu Forest department personnel have arrested two persons who were absconding under the charge of shooting and transporting a wild boar. Muhammad Jabir (29) and Naufal (24) of Kunchila village of Madikeri taluk were arrested and one Omini car and two mobile phones were seized from them. The forest officials said that 6 accused have absconded and the operation has been intensified to arrest them. 

A case was registered on March 14 in connection with the shooting of a wild boar and cutting it into meat which was observed while patrolling on the side of Periyapatna-Siddapur road of Kushalanagar zone in Maldare forest range. A case was registered in connection with killing and transportation of meat. The staff under the guidance of Kari Bhaskar of Madikeri Division were successful in locating the absconding accused in these two cases. Based on the information received by the investigation team, the two accused were arrested and produced in the Virajpet court.
